Married in 2015, Codey and Alexis grew up in the small town of Wetumpka, Alabama. While growing up in the church, neither would commit to following Christ until after graduating high school. This has created a shared passion for the church in America to be more devoted to Jesus in their beliefs, practices, and values than commonly experienced.

They both believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is God's plan to save sinners from His wrath and eternity in hell, to give salvation from sin to all who repent of their sin and believe that Jesus is Lord, satisfying God's wrath through giving His life on the cross. As Jesus is the only Savior, risen and alive today, this should motivate Christians to do all that God calls them to in sharing the good news and displaying a new life empowered by the Holy Spirit, especially through uniting with other believers in the local church.

They share five children: Caroline, Tozer, Watson, Piper, and Henry. One baby awaits them in heaven. Another baby is due in May 2026.

Codey serves as the Family Pastor of Valley Baptist Church. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Applied Theology at Midwestern Seminary.
